Turtle Productions – Quarry Trout Lake Salisbury

Turtle Productions we were approached with the challenge of creating a lake within a 6.5-meter-deep quarry that naturally filled with groundwater during winter. After navigating a lengthy planning process and approximately three months of constant muck-away lorries, the excavation was completed. The installation, thoroughly tested Turtle’s craftsmanship and precision in seaming! Despite the looming threat of heavy rain and extended daylight hours, they managed to complete the lining just before torrential downpours hit.

As planned, Turtle Productions returned in August to plant over 1,200 floras around the lake’s perimeter, ensuring unobstructed sightlines and strategically placed fishing spots.

In addition, a new 1 HP Kasco floating aerator fountain and a 1/2 HP Kasco aerator was installed, along with a circulating pump attached to the jetty to create a “swim” for the trout due to arrive in November. Two days of absolute pleasure, marked by the debut flight for the drone.

Upon revisiting in December, we were delighted to find the lake looking wonderful.
